The Eulogy of Angels
After millions of people inexplicably disappear, angels begin to manifest at random funerals, delivering eulogies for the departed. In a shocking turn of events, during a particularly somber service, an angel brings about the demise of everyone in attendance, sparing only a single individual. As a result, the Roman Catholic Church launches an investigation to unravel the unprecedented and enigmatic circumstances surrounding these events.

He's aided by an exiled religious recluse from the Shoshoni Indian tribe of Wyoming, who has the unique ability to read souls. The two journey to a mysterious small town in Northern California called Elysium, where the boundary between the afterlife and earth is blurred.
